What We Do

We help people live happier, more fulfilling lives.  Don Mize has been counseling people for over forty years first as a pastor and since 1995 exclusively through the ministry of Becoming.  Depression and anxiety are frequent areas of concern while marriage, parenting, and relationship skills often provide the context.  Helping students make education a positive experience while developing learning skills remains a fulfilling part of the work.

Don's approach is eclectic, but often uses insights from cognitive therapy, insights from Carl Roger's client-centered therapy, and insights from transactional analysis.  For clients who practice or who are interested in the Christian faith, insights can be related to key theological and biblical concepts. 

Each client begins with a free consultation in a fifty minute session in order to explore needs and experience the approach to be used.
